Role Summary:

Applications are sought from highly motivated persons who would like to commence a rewarding career in Document Control & Administration within an engineering consultancy working predominantly within the resources industry.  While the successful applicant is not expected to be proficient with document management systems, they are expected to be confident and proficient in the use of computers and standard software packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel.   In particular, prior experience or knowledge in the area of Excel would be considered advantageous.

About You

For the successful applicant, Orana Engineering will provide in-house training such that the applicant can become proficient in the use of document management systems and provide support to the Design Office Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Townsville office. 

Compliance with our strict quality assurance standards is an essential requirement in ensuring that Orana Engineering continues to efficiently deliver outcomes of a high and accurate standard to its clients.

The role reports directly to Orana Engineering’s Design Office Manager in Townsville.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Have successfully completed Year 12.
  • Have an interest in developing a sound knowledge of administrative procedures and document management systems.
  • Use MYOB and Excel for entering timesheets, managing project billing entries and metadata, receiving purchase orders, supporting invoicing processes, updating registers and generating detailed reports required for the day-to-day operation of the business.
  • Register drawings and documents into document management systems.
  • Prepare document transmittals and issuing documents to clients and suppliers.
  • Perform basic CAD drafting.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality required of the role.
  • Perform site visits to source, deliver and register onsite client documentation.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have excellent time and personal work management skills.
  • Be highly self-motivated and have a sound work ethic.
  • Have proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
