Monadelphous Group Limited was contracted to deliver the Talinga Pipeline Compression Facility (PCF) for Origin Energy’s Australia Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas (APLNG) project. Towards the end of the plant construction, to ensure regulatory compliance, the Monadelphous engineering team engaged Orana Engineering to complete structural inspections and provide Form 16 Building Certificates for various structures ranging from small plant air shelters to entire compressor train buildings and associated platforms. The inspections assessed the construction to the requirements of AS4100: Steel Structures and AS1657: Fixed platforms, walkways, stairways and ladders - Design, construction and installation.
Orana Engineering completed two short site visits to perform inspections and collect photographs and documentation. With this and additional information provided by Monadelphous Group, the Form 16 Building Certificates were completed and delivered.
The project had strict timeframes which were adhered to by Orana Engineering. The work was completed by employees from Orana Engineering’s Chinchilla Office which was in very close proximity to the site and surrounding CSG industry. This allowed the project and multiple site visits to be conducted at very short notice and with minimal costs associated with travel and mobilisation.
